Ballet

At Musette Performing Arts School, our ballet program caters to dancers of all ages and levels. Beginning with our pre-ballet classes designed for three, four, and five-year-olds, we introduce the foundational elements of ballet in a fun and imaginative way. As dancers progress, they move through our levels, gaining skills and technique along the way up to Ballet V. This class is reserved for our most advanced dancers, where they can further refine their technique, artistry, and passion for ballet. Whether just starting or looking to challenge themselves at a higher level, our ballet program offers something for everyone at Musette Performing Arts School.

Pre-Pointe & Pointe

Our Pre-Pointe and Pointe program is where young dancers begin their journey towards mastering the art of ballet en pointe. Our classes are designed to help students develop the strength, technique, and grace required for pointe work, all while emphasizing proper alignment and injury prevention. Our experienced instructors provide a supportive and nurturing environment, ensuring that each student receives the personalized attention they need to grow and succeed in their ballet training. Dancers in this program must have completed prior ballet classes and be asked to join pre-pointe or pointe.

Jazz

Step into the rhythm and energy of jazz dance at MPAS! Our jazz program is designed for young dancers ages 4-18 who are ready to groove, leap, and express themselves through this dynamic dance style. From learning the fundamentals of jazz technique to mastering intricate choreography, our classes cater to dancers of all levels. Four to six-year-olds will enjoy our fun and upbeat introduction to jazz and tap in our combo Jazz/Tap I class while older dancers can fine-tune their skills and artistry in Jazz II-IV. Tap

Our playful yet structured environment allows young dancers to explore the rhythmic art of tap, perfect for those who love making noise! From basic steps to challenging routines, students will enhance their coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Students four to six-years-old can join in our combo Jazz/Tap I class to get a taste of two dance genres while older students can work on their steps in Tap II-IV. Theatre

For our aspiring performers aged 4-7, we offer an exciting and engaging Children’s Theatre class that introduces them to the magical world of acting, singing, and dancing. Through imaginative play, creative movement exercises, and simple song and dance routines, our young stars will build confidence and develop their performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Our older performers, aged 8-18, can take their passion for theatre to the next level with our advanced Theatre class. In this class, students will dive deeper into character development, improvisation, stage presence, and ensemble work. They will have the opportunity to explore a variety of genres and styles while honing their acting techniques and building a strong foundation for future performances.

Musical Theatre Dance

In Musical Theatre Dance, actors who want to enhance their dancing skills can learn some basic movements to add some extra flair to their stage performances. They will learn fundamental dance techniques, develop their stamina and flexibility, and work on interpreting choreography to tell a story through movement. This class will challenge you to embrace your passion for theatre and take your performances to new heights!

Contemporary

In our contemporary dance class, experienced dancers will have the opportunity to further explore the artistry and technique of this dynamic dance style. Through intricate choreography and creative movement exercises, dancers will enhance their skills in fluidity, expression, and musicality. This class will challenge students to push their boundaries, experiment with new ideas, and develop their own unique style. Join us as we dive deep into the world of contemporary dance.
