At Musette Performing Arts School, we are more than your average studio. We are a vibrant community where young talents can flourish and grow in a playful and supportive environment. We believe in the transformative power of the arts on children's lives, fostering creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Through classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and other dance styles, our dance company, our theatre program, and our collaboration with our local community, we aim to inspire a lifelong love of the performing arts and create lasting memories for our students.
Our dedicated teachers deeply care about our students and are passionate about nurturing their talents. We believe in creating a supportive environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our team is committed to helping each student succeed, not just in their dance and theatre training, but also in building confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for the arts. Maggie Jackson
Co-Founder
Maggie Jackson is an arts educator and Musical Theatre director from Gallipolis, Ohio. Jackson is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace University with a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. Jackson has directed and performed professionally for companies such as: The Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Great Lakes Theatre Company, Playhouse Square, & the St. Louis Repertory Theatre. Most recently, Jackson served as the executive director of the French Art Colony. In 2017, she founded the French Art Colony dance and theatre studio in order to share her passion for the performing arts with her community. Maggie is also the proud mom to Stella and Henrik and wife to Ricky; her favorite endeavor yet. She is honored to work in her hometown and is incredibly grateful for her family's endless support.

Lexie Roach
Co-Founder
Lexie Roach is a a dance instructor and freelance choreographer originally from Jackson, Mississippi. She grew up studying various types of dance at Mississippi Metropolitan Dance Academy including jazz, tap, ballet, and lyrical, and was a founding member of her high school show choir, Reveillon. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in PR and Advertising, but her heart missed the stage, so she turned back to dance and show choir. She officially moved to Gallipolis in 2022 to be with her husband, Nick. Lexie travels the country choreographing school musicals and show choirs- including the Gallia Academy Madrigals, teaching dance workshops, and judging for various competitions & auditions.

Samantha Massie
Ballet Instructor
Samantha Massie of Lexington, Kentucky, grew up dancing at The School of The Lexington Ballet. Under the instruction of Nancy Dominguez, she was trained in Balanchine and Pointe method. During her time dancing, she took classes under teachers from across the U.S., including the Cary Ballet School, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dayton Ballet. She is excited to now be a part of the wonderful Gallia County community, where she hopes to create an environment where the arts are truly for everyone. Samantha is excited to share the gift of dance with the people in her new hometown! She is a teacher at Hannah Trace Elementary by day.
